How can I read asian (Chinese) from Yahoo Mail?

I have window XP but I cannot read the Chinese language in the Yahoo mail, only see the symbols ( I can see the Chinese language on internet ). Can somebody help. Thank you so much.

When you are in your Yahoo Mail, at your Internet Explorer or Firefox window, go to the top menu, click View -%26gt; Encoding -%26gt; Chinese Traditional (Big5) or Chinese Simplified (GB2312).

You should be able to see the chinese text.
